International Economics Olympiad Macau Selection 2024

Macau's only International Economics Olympiad Trials will be held on April 13, 2024. The selection competition is divided into two parts: a business case (team competition) and an economics (individual competition).

In the team competition, each team is given 2 days to prepare a business case plan. They must devise a feasible solution based on the provided topic case, and then deliver a presentation on the day of the competition.

For the individual competition, students need to complete 20 multiple-choice questions and 4 open-ended questions related to economics.

For the team competition, the teams will compete for the champion, runner-up, and third place titles. In the individual competition, participants will vie for the gold, silver, and bronze medals.

The students who emerge victorious from the selection trials will become members of the Macau Team, and will travel to compete in the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) in July.
